Jared Carter: present and unaccounted for
A caller from Tomkinsville, who identified himself as “Dewayne” (perhaps it is Duane, he didn’t spell his name) left a voice mail message. Like a segment of UK fans, Dewayne is interested in what Jared Carter can do for Kentucky’s team this coming season.
So Dewayne wondered why I didn’t mention Carter in the blog about UK’s public pickup games on Saturday. He repeatedly referred to Carter as a “big ole boy” and suggested that UK would need Carter to “do everything” this coming season.
As long as Patrick Patterson’s around, neither Carter nor any other UK player will need to do “everything.” But let’s move on.
Carter played in the pickup games. On the plus side, he looked healthy and moved well. So the shoulder problems appear to be behind him.
On the minus side, he still looked like he could play with a more aggressive attitude. And hopefully that will be more apparent this winter.
