As Harrow returns, Cal declares Goodwin UK point

As Ryan Harrow continues practicing since his return from an undisclosed illness, Kentucky Coach John Calipari declared Archie Goodwin as the team’s point guard.
“He’s earned the position,” the UK coach said. “That doesn’t mean he’s the only point guard. We have three point guards.”
For the time being, Harrow and Jarrod Polson will back up Goodwin at point guard, Calipari said.
Calipari did not commit himself to playing Harrow at Notre Dame on Thursday. The UK coach hinted at that by noting the value in using November games to learn.
“I may throw him in there,” Calipari said.
Harrow, who missed the last four games, declared himself ready to play.
“If coach feels he needs to play me, he’ll play me,” Harrow said. “And I’ll be ready.”
Harrow acknowledged the possibility of a psychological issue contributing to his illness.
“It might have played a role in me getting sick,” he said.
Harrow noted the pressure that comes with following such stellar Cal point guards as Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, John Wall, Brandon Knight and Marquis Teague.
“That’s just something you have to handle when you come to Kentucky or play for Coach Cal,” he said.
And if a player can’t handle the burden?
“The media and fans will just eat you up,” Harrow said.
