The Kentucky-Duke game will be the second time this year that John Calipari has coached against Mike Krzyzewski.
The first time came this past summer in an Olympic tuneup. Krzyzewski coached the U.S. team while Calipari led the Dominican Republic team.
“They beat us by 100,” Calipari said with a chuckle. “I hope that’s not the result of this game.”
The U.S. beat the Dominicans 113-59.
UK plays Duke Tuesday in Atlanta.
Calipari saluted the coaching job done by Krzyzewski on the international stage.
“To know you’re supposed to win and win anyway, what an achievement,” Calipari said.
