In praising the retiring Jim Calhoun, UK Coach John Calipari noted the difference his one-time adversary made on the UConn campus.
“That campus was not a nice campus,” Calipari said. “One of the worst in New England. Now, it’s one of the best in New England.”
Calipari compared the difference Calhoun made on and off the court at UConn to the Hail Mary pass Doug Flutie completed in perhaps the most iconic moment in Boston College football history.
