Although he’s repeatedly used social media to urge fans to come to Rupp Arena on Saturday, UK Coach John Calipari said he would be fine with whatever the attendance is.
“I’d like to have 25,000,” he said while acknowledging that won’t happen.
“If 4,000 people show up, . . . they’re going to have a ball.”
In speaking to reporters Thursday, Calipari spoke of Saturday as a “great celebration” of UK basketball. Among former players expected to attend are Sam Bowie, MIke Pratt, Jimmy Dan Conner and former Coach Joe B. Hall, he said.
