UK Athletics Committee OKs $9+ million in upgrades

The UK Athletics Committee approved more than $9 million in upgrades planned for the softball and soccer complexes.
The upgrades include a $7 million renovation and expansion of UK”s soccer facilities and an additional $2.2 million for improvements to the softball facility.
UK will play host to the SEC Softball Tournament next spring.
The additional money will come from reserve funds raised through private donations, Director of Athletics Mitch Barnhart said.
The additional funding is expected to be formally approved later Tuesday by the Trustees’ Finance Committee and then by the full Board of Trustees.

Jerry – thanks for more negative. I can’t wait to read your next blurb. It will go like this – – I just found a bunch of news on UK, let’s see — positive (throw out), positive (file13), scandalous but a reach (save for paper), piss off UK fans (PRINT NOW – yeah my life has new meaning).

To be honest, I will renew my subscription (along with some others I know) AFTER you 1. change your ways, 2. die, 3. retire/leave for another rag…..

Seven million for soccer.
Why not let them play in Commonwealth?

I think if I ever read a Jerry Tipton column that just comes out and speaks positively about UK Basketball, I will have a heart attack and die!
