When asked why he insists that Kentucky only play Indiana on neutral sites, UK Coach John Calipari said he was merely following Bob Knight’s example.
“Bobby Knight decided that he thought the series should be neutral,” Calipari said Tuesday. “And when it was neutral, it was huge.”
To nudge IU off its insistence that the series remain on a home-and-home basis, UK proposed the next two games be played in Indianapolis.
“To make it more beneficial to them,” Calipari said.
