Media picks UK to win SEC, Jones as POY

A media panel picked Kentucky to win the Southeastern Conference title this coming season and for Terrence Jones to be the league’s Player of the Year.
UK received 18 of a possible 23 first-place votes. Vanderbilt received four first-place votes while Florida received one vote.
Jones was the choice of the media for SEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year with 12 votes. Vanderbilt junior John Jenkins finished second (nine votes) while Alabama senior JaMychal Green (one vote) and Kentucky freshman Anthony Davis (one vote).

Jones, Jenkins and Green were joined on the All-SEC First Team by Mississippi State senior Dee Bost and Vanderbilt senior Jeffery Taylor.

color me skeptical jones will be player of the year. jones could very well be the best player in the sec, if he wanted to be. but he proved last year his overwhelming desire was to be a lottery pick. i hope he does a liggins and proves me totally wrong.
