Coaches Bob Knight and Eddie Sutton are among the new inductees elected to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, it was announced Monday.
Other inductees in the class of 2011 are players Ralph Sampson, James Worthy, Cazzie Russell and Chris Mullin, as well as contributors Joe Vancisin and Eddie Einhorn.
The Class of 2011 will be formally inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame on Nov. 20.

Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald- Leader has covered Kentucky basketball since the 1981-82 season. That time includes five coaches, five Final Fours, four athletic directors, two interim athletic directors and many memories. Before coming to Lexington, Tipton worked eight years for the Huntington (W.Va.) Herald-Dispatch. He covered Marshall’s basketball team for two seasons before coming to the Herald-Leader.

Not bad, but where’s Joe B. Hall. His team actually beat Sutton’s in the 78 final four and Joe B. took 3 UK tewams there with two in the final game. Besides Eddie headed up the UK program when it was placed on probation in 89.
I guess the Kentucky fans couldn’t manipulate this vote.
I imagine the koolaid blogs with jump all over this. BUT, once they get done making fools of themselves, Knight and Sutton will still be in the Hall of Fame.
