UK leads 5-4 at first TV timeout

Kentucky leads Cleveland State 5-4 at the first TV timeout. And there’s a sign that the Cats may expand that lead.

Cleveland State’s top scorer, Norris Cole, just picked up his second foul. He came into the game averaging 21 points.

UK appeared to need a reminder that it’s a post-up team. The Cats took two perimeter shots to begin the game. Then after Coach John Calipari did some barking, UK went inside to DeMarcus Cousins.

Then as the half continued, Cleveland State got a break. Cousins picked up his second foul at the 15:36 mark and went to the bench. Cousins got the foulfor going over the back of a Cleveland State player for an offensive rebound.
