Turnovers keep Cleveland State around

By the third TV timeout of the first half, Kentucky had nine turnovers and the possibility of a quick knockout seemed less likely.

UK led 15-11 when time was called with 7:36 left.

To this point, UK had used inside power exclusively to control the game. The Cats had no three-pointers and no need for three-pointers.

Kentucky had tried only two, one Daniel Orton’s career first. Both missed.
