Kentucky has made a recruiting inquiry about one of the top point guard prospects in the high school class of 2011.
Here’s the story from the Indianapolis Star:
Pike coach Phil Spoljaric said Kentucky and new coach John Calipari have inquired about Marquis Teague, a 6-2 point guard considered a top-10 recruit nationally for the 2011 class. itxtvisited=”1″><SPAN class=pp
Spoljaric said Calipari did not visit Pike during last month’s evaluation period, but the Wildcats could join a list of Teague suitors that includes Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue and Wake Forest.
Teague, who averaged 18.3 points and 5.1 assists as a sophomore, said he will make his college decision in June.
