Highly regarded prospect DeMarcus Cousins committed to Kentucky late Tuesday night, the recruiting service rivals.com reported.
Rivals rates Cousins as the No. 2 prospect in the nation in the high school class of 2009.
Cousins, a 6-10 forward, had originally committed to Memphis. He re-opened his recruitment after John Calipari left Memphis to become Kentucky coach.

JERRY WHAT IS THIS BUSINESS THAT COUSINS IS SMART ENOUGH TO TAKE AND PASS HIS COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMS BUT HAS NOT TAKEN ANY OF THEM AS YET?
HOW DO YOU THINK THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL AFFECT ORTON’s COMMITMENT TO UK?
DO YOU FEEL JODIE AND PATRICK WILL GO TO THE NBA?
A front line of Patterson, Orton, and Cousins should be pretty impressive by season’s end. Then include Hood and Harrelson and it’s starting to look like a future NBA franchise in Lexington. Too bad they won’t have a stellar point guard to get them the ball….
If you get any more info on the recruits please let us know! please! kentucky basketball NEEDS jon wall. hands down…and xavior if we can get him too!
