UK basketball offers clinic for women

UK basketball announced plans for a clinic for women.

Here’s the news release:

Kentucky men’s basketball has scheduled “UK Basketball 2.0: The Newest Version” of the women’s clinic, for Thursday, September 25, from 6-9 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum/Joe Craft Center.

The clinic is designed for women with all levels of basketball knowledge. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with and meet Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie and his staff.

Registration runs from 5-6 p.m. at the front entrance to Memorial Coliseum (facing the Avenue of Champions). Parking is available in the “E” lot on both sides of the Joe Craft Center.

Scheduled presentations include behind-the-scenes looks at UK video, strength and conditioning and sports injury/rehabilitation lectures, as well as a Q&A with Gillispie, staff and current players. New to the program this year are live skills demonstrations, mock interview opportunities and a reception following the conclusion of the clinic.

The cost is $100, which includes a UK Basketball t-shirt, a notebook, autograph and photo opportunities with Coach Gillispie, his staff and players. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the Joe Craft Center, the $30 million practice facility where the Wildcats train.

Interested parties can call the Men’s Basketball Office with additional questions about the clinic at 800.825.2875 or 859-257-1916.
